Seacroft Estate is an historic former monastery set on 25 acres overlooking the Great Ocean Road with 180 degree ocean views.
Enjoy a peaceful rural setting in a place of incredible natural beauty just 15 minutes drive from the popular coastal town of Apollo Bay.
Seacroft Estate has historic self-contained spaces, economical private rooms with shared facilities and unique experiences including our treehouse and lotus belle glamping tent.
Our various accommodation can sleep around 60 people, and is also available for group bookings and special events.

Very sweet little stay. Fantastic location, very comfortable bed and wouldn’t even know there were other people on the property. Hosts kindly turned heating and lamps on before our arrival which was lovely and very welcoming. Would love to come back here!

PERFECT little spot on the way down the Ocean Road. Check in was seamless, accomodation was lovely and quaint! Sam is incredibly helpful and made a plan for us when we got stuck with some admin things! Would highly recommend!

An absolutely lovely and cosy little cottage in a beautiful part of the world, and our hosts were equally lovely.
Arriving on a rainy, cold winter's night to enter a warm cheery cottage was a perfect welcome, with everything we needed for our stay there.
Ocean views and ocean sounds made for a really good night's sleep. Being introduced to the family Alpaca's was an enjoyable bonus as well.

We spent two nights at Seacroft. The Bay View room was beautiful, had character and had amazing views of the ocean from the living area and bedroom. The estate has beautiful grounds, well kept and is very peaceful. The location is amazing, not only for the breathtaking views, but for being a short drive from Apollo Bay, the Otways and Lorne. Definitely a memorable getaway on the Great Ocean Road. Thank you

Wonderful place to stay. Luxurious king bed was a highlight. Views of the green fields and ocean. Well-sized bath. Place was clean and comfortable, perfect for two people. Something to note is that cottage is connected by a wall to another cottage on the right, and to the left many people staying in multiple rooms. Despite this, the home was peaceful and quiet overnight. Short walk to the beach. Great location close to Apollo Bay. Highly recommend.

This place is absolutely gorgeous. We got here just after tea and the sunset was stunning. The cottage was cosy and well appointed. All the facilities were exceptionally clean and the best was extremely comfy. Perfect for our family of 3.

Fantastic place the stay! Great views from within the cottage of the ocean and hills and cows in the distance. The king bed was very comfy and the property itself was great to explore as well as the beach across the road. A good base to explore Apollo Bay and other great stops along the Great Ocean Road. As others have noted there are other cottages/accommodation on the same property but we found it to still be very private. We hope to stay again. Thanks Sam

the room was at advertised. we had everything we needed for our two night stay. Seacroft Estate is within easy driving distance from Apollo Bay, and the surrounding areas attractions.
The price is comparable to cabins within Apollo Bay, but Sam's cottage offer much more privacy, cleanliness and charm.
It certain we will be staying in the Seacroft Estate on out next visit to Apollo bay.

Beautifully maintained historic buildings surrounded by open paddocks leading down to the GOR and the ocean views. Very clean rooms with modern self contained conveniences, easy to find and book in. We loved the 140 year history, peace and quiet of a farm and walks along the rugged coastline. Definitely worth a minimum 2 night or more, stay

Perfect location, rain hail or shine, although the cottage isn’t actually a cottage. The rooms form part of a triplex. If you want a ‘stand alone’ cottage, it isn’t. There was no private outdoor area for our room but plenty of outdoor areas on-site for moving around.

Wonderful rural and ocean views. A nice surprise after arriving after dark. Easy check-in details. Good accommodation, glad for 2 heaters. A more thorough clean is needed. Also, advert is a bit misleading as there are others on the farm too, there is more than one cottage/accommodation. Otherwise a relaxing place with my 2 x grandkids and not too far out of Melbourne. 😉

Lovely escape for kids, especially if travelling with under 2 as there is a portacot and high cost available. A highlight would be the view out to front and the kids being able to pat a cows while looking out to the ocean.

This accom was so lovely; everything we needed and the view that kept capturing my attention. Awesome bed like everyone said. Helpful friendly host.
One of my favourite details was the big healthy cows coming close by our window every day having a feed.
And a really really beautiful secluded stunning beach so close by (walking distance). Spent a whole day rock pooling and swimming- stuck by the awe of nature.
Also massive beautiful waterfalls very near by, very worth a look!!

Beautiful place to visit and a perfect location for a digital detox. The place is clean, check-in and check-out are so easy. Beach access is 400m and secluded not lucky enough to watch the whale or a Dolphin. Cattle and the farm are really a nice one. Sunrise in the morning is mesmerising the ocean sounds are a lullaby for a peaceful sleep. Mozzies are there better carry a repellant. Hot water is working fine but they a have temperature control will be a nice addition. The toilet flushing system is nice never seen a system like this in the past. Trampoline is a highlight enjoyed jumping in it. The mountain in the background is amazing best place to do meditation. Will return to this place as often as possible. Covid safe please book and enjoy your stay at this wonderful place. Never had a chance to meet SAM but whoever it is doing their job in a very professional way keep up the GOOD work. Happy Customer:)

Sam was very quick to respond with any questions, and her little space has all that you need for a lovely getaway.
Waking up with views of the bay, ocean and some friendly cows makes you feel like you’re forever away, but in reality you’re only 10mins to Kennett River and Apollo Bay making this a very convenient location.

Amazing! Awesome! Beautiful! This place is little heaven. Amazing views with an amazing place. We booked the Bay view cottage and it was perfect. They were so grateful that they had a baby crib for our 7 month old as well. The place was sparkling clean. Bay View Cottage completely exceeded my expectations.
The view is absolutely stunning from the bedroom and lounge windows - I couldn’t stop staring at the superb sunset.
The cottage is sparkling clean and has everything necessary for two people.
The oven, full sized fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave were greatly appreciated.
The heaters in both lounge and bedroom (as well as combo fan/light/heater in bathroom) were toasty and necessary for the cold winter evening.
The shower has fantastic pressure and a great hot water system and the bath was lovely too.
The bed was cosy and warm and deliciously comfortable.
The location is superb, my son greatly enjoyed the trampoline and room to run around; and I couldn’t be more delighted with the view and ease of access to the beach.

What a peaceful location! Bay View Cottage is a super cute place to stay, without all the tech and distractions that we are used to elsewhere. The bed is very soft (we did roll towards the middle a little) and everything was very clean and tidy. The unique toilet gave us a laugh and was definitely a highlight. Great views (I chatted to the young cows through our windows) and the panel heaters work really well for a cold night. Thank you for a wonderfully cosy night.

The property is in a great location, a few km from Apollo Bay. There's a great beach walking distance.
Unfortunately, there wasn't a lighter to turn on the gas stove/oven and the pilot light seemed to be out so I had to buy one at the nearby petrol station. Parking was also a bit challenging in the mornings as the only exit from the upper lot was blocked by other cars both mornings when I headed out.

To be honest we were not sure what to expect but we loved this location; 10 or so mins drive out of Apollo Bay. We wanted a chilled out place for our last evening on the GOR and that’s exactly what we got. We arrived just as the lawn had been cut, got out a beer/wine and sat on a blanket watching the sea and the sunset for a couple of hours. Bliss! We then headed back in to cook and relax. Perfectly adequate cooking facilities and the luxury of a washing machine if you need it. Good value all round; many thanks!

Both the space and location were amazing. It was right in the middle of my great ocean road tour. Loved the country feel and self check in. I felt safe and cared for.

Once you are inside the room it is comfy, roomy and a mixture of new and old. The bathroom and laundry/ toilet are modern, while the kitchen and bedroom are old school. The highlight is the extremely comfortable King Size Bed that had me sleeping like a baby. I would go back there again and again. Great place to stay.

Great location right off the great ocean road, and easy to find. Check in and check out was super easy. We woke up to beautiful scenery and cows not far outside our window. No WiFi but it was nice to spend a night without it.

What an interesting place to stay. You’ll find the accommodations a bit of a curious blend of old and new. The building is definitely old, yet nicely done up with its finished floors, interesting cabinets, older furniture and modern amenities (other than wifi). This would be the perfect place to spend a few days as the unit is fully equipped to cook. And the unit has a clothes washer.
The owners were very prompt in responding to our request to stay. However, we never met the owners so had no opportunity to learn any of the history.

Beautiful location. Lovely property. Our room was great. Nice spring water on tap. Wonderful comfy bed and lots of additional blankets and things in the wardrobe. Hosts were very nice and welcoming. Helped us deal with our flat tire in the morning. Wish we had time to stay longer!

Fifth time I have run my Gunnas Weekend Masterclass here it's cosy and magical. I had 40 guests, and 70% were rebookings from last year. As fantastic as the writing retreat is. I suspect they really came back to stay at Seacroft. The view is a knockout. Excellent value for money. You will not find another experience like it..

Good location in a rural setting with a farm feel about it. The ocean can only be seen in the distance from the side lounge and bedroom windows. From the description, it wasn't obvious that the cottage we stayed in was one of several other cottages/cabins/rooms (not sure how to describe them), so there were many people and cars coming and going. The accommodation itself is decorated in a very stylish way with lovely antique furnishings and it felt very private and spacious once we were inside. The bed and linen are so comfy! I loved watching the calves graze outside the window. We can recommend Chris's restaurant, which is a bit of a drive and in the middle of nowhere, but so worth the visit!

If you’re looking for a romantic, affordable weekend away, then this is where to stay. A cottage like out of a fairytale, where you can fall asleep watching the sun set over the ocean from your bedroom window. A short drive to Lorne, Apollo Bay and other spectacular sites on the Great Ocean Road. The bed was incredibly comfortable, great shower and all amenities we needed! Will definitely be back!

Nice place to stay. There is a trampoline for kids to play. Actually it was big enough for adults to play as well. Short drive to Apollo Bay. The view in the morning was stunning.

Sam's cottage is beautifully styled and, includes everything you need. Location of the cottage was perfect too with amazing view. Communication with Sam was also great and the check in process was super easy! We’d highly recommend this cottage to others.

This is a quaint unit on an old homestead property. There are a number of other units on the property as well, including one attached to this one. Sam was very quick to respond to our questions. The space was clean, and in a beautiful location. The closest beach is about a 10 minute walk down the highway. The sand is nice, but where the sand meets the water is pretty rocky, so we didn't feel comfortable going in. There is a sandy inlet another 10 minute walk down the beach.

This is a great little spot to rest along the GOR. It’s quiet and peaceful, beautiful views, and well situated to be away from tourist traps that can be frustrating. Sam is also excellent with communication. Would recommend.

Loved sleeping in the bed, very comfy! A great location that is away from the usual busy traffic in other towns on Great Ocean Road. Having basic amenities like oil, salt, pepper, pots, pans etc was a great help. We were very thankful that we could wash our clothes during our stay. Thanks Sam for a lovely and peaceful stay at Sugarloaf 🙂

Loving every details of the facilities (Website hidden by Airbnb) 5 years nephew enjoy jumping at the trampoline and run around the property. My sister amazed with the flower and other plants surrounding the property. Our cottage's master bedroom are overlooking the bay. Sam response to my request for extra towel quickly. Worth stay at this property. Will come back for the location and the serenity.

Spacious appartment on a huge block of land overlooking the ocean. There are multiple cottages though we never saw anyone from the other ones so there is a feeling of privacy. The place itself is clean, with anything you would need including a very lovely big bath. Check in was very easy.

Interesting place and we’d consider staying here again for the quiet generous space and outlook - seacroft was a great place for 2 nights with the day between spent heading down to the port Campbell etc - oh and the cabins are better appointed than I expected

Wow, what an amazing retreat to find, our unit had everything and the best bed ever, like a cloud....the views are spectacular, hills behind...coast at the front, the communal area was fabulous, best we,ve seen, our only problem was we only booked one night, easily could stay for many more, and bring friends as the communal area is a super area to gather and enjoy the views, the kitchen, the fire if cold, 5/5 Sam, we will be back

Bay view is a lovely cottage with complete privacy. No wifi and a bit of drive away from town, complete focus on your vacation and rejuvenation. I like that this cottage comes with its own bathroom and kitchen, but it could be better if the window blinds in bathroom are thicker as it’s facing the parking. Sam has a few more rooms/cottages under his listing and I would love to stay in one of those that have ocean view if I had the chance next time.

The location has a great view of the ocean, and it's wonderfully quiet. It is however a little far out of Apollo bay, but if you don't mind the drive, it's a wonderful stay.

This place is epic! We definitely recommend it! It has lovely retro and stylish design, mega size bed, big windows with the ocean view (real ocean view) and the kitchen is great! The only thing is that they don’t have WiFi unfortunately, it could make Sam’s place haven on earth. Also there’s amazingly beautiful beach nearby and there’s a big trampoline for kids.
One more thing which pleasantly surprised us was that when we were leaving the place, we met Sam in person and he was an amazing guy, we had a very lovely talk about traveling. He gave us lot’s of interesting tips

What a gorgeous and cosy guest house in a beautiful spot! We loved how close it was to the beach and being able to listen to the sound of the waves. Wish we were able to stay longer. Highly recommend!

It’s on a beautiful piece of land with gorgeous views. Close to the beach and Otways National Park and a nice drive to get to town. The cabin was simple but had everything you could need. We loved our short stay there and would definitely go back.

A quirky property that is ideal for a couple of nights exploring the Great Ocean Road. You need to bring everything that you need - food, toiletries etc. A wonderfully comfortable king size bed with lots of bedding and heaters to keep you warm on cool nights.
